During the COVID-19 lockdown, with the encouragement of friends and the help of their partner, the artist moved to New Mexico. This stability and time allowed the artist to finally work with footage they had shot over the previous years.

While working in garages that served as makeshift studios and becoming friends with Southwestern artist, Jerry West, the story of BIRKHEAD began to take shape and emerged as a science fiction documentary under the backdrop of the American Southwest.

 The documentary tells the story of migrating birds who clash with "Wishing Day," a festival held in a fictional desert town.
