David Benjamin is a multidisciplinary artist working across image, video, writing, and hybrid forms. His work draws from fantasy and science fiction to explore memory, colonial legacies, and the movement of people and ideas through time and space. Rooted in narrative, his projects ask what it means to belong, and what is remembered or lost in transition.
His work has been shown in New York, Vancouver, and Abuja, and he is a recent fellow of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA). In the past four years, he’s exhibited in Harlem and Vancouver, and presented a solo show and sci-fi documentary screening in Abuja.
